How DuoPhase protects your data
DuoPhase holds some of the most personal things two people can share. This page explains, in plain words, what happens to them.
This page explains the privacy choices built into DuoPhase. A separate legal privacy policy is being prepared before public registration opens.
Everything starts private
Your tracker works without a partner. When you connect, each kind of sharing has its own switch, and every switch starts off. Your partner sees nothing you have not turned on.
What each switch shares
- What you need: requests like quiet, comfort or practical help, with any words you added, while they are active.
- Today's energy: your energy, stress and room to connect from your check-in. Never your note.
- Mind check-in: your battery, what is on your mind and what would help.
- Likes and dislikes: your answers from Get to know you.
- Broad cycle phase: period, after period, before period or uncertain. No dates and no cycle day.
- Calendar timing: the current period's start and end when present, the next estimate with its uncertainty, and a heads-up for your partner a few days before it.
- Let AI explain what you share: lets your partner's Insight Pack explain only what you share above.
What is never shared
Past periods, cycle day, symptoms, moods, flow, private notes and how often you log are never part of what your partner sees, whatever you switch on.
Notes are encrypted
Private notes in check-ins and daily logs are encrypted before they are stored. Backups of the whole database are encrypted too.
Stopping sharing
Turning a switch off removes that information from your partner's view right away, and deletes AI explanations that were based on it. Either of you can end the connection at any time, and your private tracker stays yours.
No app can undo what someone has already seen or remembered. Share what you are comfortable with.
How the AI is limited
AI features are optional and part of the Insight Pack. They need your consent before they are used for you, and they only see what your partner chose to share with AI. Private notes are never sent. Answers are processed by an AI provider and stored so the same request is not paid for twice; they are deleted when the shared information behind them changes.
A quiet lock screen
Notifications never name a period, phase, mood or fertility. Reminders and nudges wait for your quiet hours to end, and partner updates during quiet hours arrive without sound.
What we record about use
DuoPhase records which features are used, for example that a check-in was saved, so we can see what helps. It never records what you wrote or logged. Error reports are cleaned of personal details before they are kept.
Who at DuoPhase can see what
Our support tools are separate accounts that show account details and counts. They never show your cycle data, logs, notes, check-ins or preferences.
Emails
You can switch off news and offers in your account at any time, and every news email has an unsubscribe link. Messages about your account still reach you.
Your data, your call
You can export your data or delete your account from Account and your data in the app, without paying for anything.
Not medical advice
DuoPhase offers cycle tracking and everyday guidance. Calendar estimates are not suitable for contraception, fertility decisions or medical diagnosis.
