Questions about tracking and sharing

Short answers about your period tracker, privacy, optional partner support and what is free.

Can I track my period without a partner?

Yes. Log period dates, flow, symptoms, moods and private notes on your own. Partner sharing is optional and starts off.

Are the calendar dates predictions?

Future dates are estimates based on your settings or recorded history. The calendar marks estimates separately from periods you logged. They are not suitable for contraception or medical decisions.

Do I have to share my cycle?

No. You can ask for help and get an answer without sharing anything about your cycle. Phase and calendar sharing are separate switches, and both start off.

Does my partner need the app too?

Only to see your requests and answer them. On your own, DuoPhase works as a private cycle tracker.

How do we connect?

She creates a short code that works once, for five minutes. He enters it to ask to join, and nothing is connected until she accepts. Either of you can end the connection at any time.

What can my partner see?

Only what you switch on: active needs, today's energy, a mind check-in, likes and dislikes, a broad cycle phase or limited calendar timing. Past periods, cycle day, symptoms, moods and notes are never shared.

What each switch shares

What does On it do?

It tells the person who asked that you have their request. They get a quiet notification, and can later answer whether it helped. Nothing is scored.

Can I stop sharing?

Yes. Turning a switch off removes that information from your partner's view right away. It cannot undo what they already saw.

Is DuoPhase free?

Yes. Tracking, needs, On it, check-ins, the daily question and every privacy control are free. The optional Insight Pack adds AI explanations, and one purchase covers you both.

What does the AI see?

Only what your partner chose to share with AI, and only for the Insight Pack. Private notes are never used. AI features need your consent first.

Will notifications give anything away?

No. Lock-screen notifications never name a period, phase, mood or fertility, and they respect your quiet hours.

Is DuoPhase medical advice or birth control?

No. DuoPhase offers tracking and everyday guidance. Calendar estimates are not suitable for contraception, fertility decisions or medical diagnosis.

Can I export or delete my data?

Yes. Export your data or delete your account from Account and your data in the app, without paying for anything.

Where does DuoPhase run?

DuoPhase is being built for Android and iOS from one shared app. This website explains the tracker and sharing controls.
